Due to the challenges imposed by the current health crisis and the social distancing policies implemented in Peru in the face of COVID-19, the AGENTS Project has adapted the Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue in Peru to a series of online workshops with different agents implementing governance initiatives in the field.
This initiative has been carried out in collaboration with the Peruvian colleagues from the Centro de Estudios Regionales Andinos Bartolomé de Las Casas, and the methodology intends to follow the spirit of the Dialogues carried out in Brazil in 2019 in person. The online Dialogues take place bi-weekly. One or two organizations share their experiences, lessons learned and challenges faced in local initiatives, followed by Q&A session with representatives of other organizations and AGENTS researchers. The discussion topics include types of governance initiatives, challenges faced at the local level both by the organizations as well as involved communities, and potential transformative aspects of the initiatives.
The Dialogues aim at collective learning and establishment and strengthening of governance networks in the Amazon basin area.
