All members from the MISTY Consortium, representing seven partner institutions, met for three days in late February in Accra, Ghana, to discuss progress and to plan for the second and third years of the project.
There were discussions and decisions about how best to maximise impact for the project and the responsibilities of each theme lead. The workshop was extremely successful in that knowledge and expertise were shared and plans were made for the future of the project.
The Regional Institute of Population Studies at the University of Ghana, who hosted this workshop, added to the impact and usefulness of the meeting by inviting colleagues from their institution, Dr Faustina Frimpong-Aing and Dr Delali Dovie, to talk to the Consortium on their experiences of survey work with migrants.
